2011 FieldTurf Pet Plaza!
The Mill Creek Festival Pet Plaza will be located in the parking lot of the Mill Creek Pavilion property at the northwest corner of 161st Street SE and Bothell-Everett Highway in Mill Creek, Washington. Pet related vendor booths will be arranged around a central Performance Arena. Numerous pet shelter/adoption groups, including Seattle Humane Society, Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue and PAWS, will conduct ongoing pet adoptions. There will be a Pet Spa where dogs can cool off in kiddy pools. In addition, there will be a Canine Agility Demonstration Area which will have continuous demonstrations of canine agility with audience participation.
The Performance Arena will have a rotating schedule of dog related events. The schedule of events will include performances by groups such as:
- Seattle Police Canine Unit
- Boeing Explosives Detection Canine Unit
- Washington Owners of Flying Disc Dogs
- Seattle FlyDogs
- Emerald City Freestyle Canine Dancers
- Washington State Fish and Wildlife Karelian Bear Dog Program
- Canine Fashion Shows
- Demonstrations and audience participation in Canine obedience and agility
